So, elder huerta and i are typing away... we just got done with our monthly interviews, and now were carrying on with our pday.
MICE?! How? Thats awful, maybe you guys should invest in some really big snakes?
Yeah, conference was great, got so trunky watching conference!! I cant wait to go there in person, the tabernacle choir just isnt the same on the tv. I loved every part of conference, during the conference, as i was taking notes, i realized something that wasnt revealed to us until one of the last talks, if you dont understand me, heres what i mean:
In the begining of conference, i started taking notes... as the talks went a long, i realized that the basic principles that they were teaching, I knew. So, why was i taking notes? The most important part about conference is feeling the spirit, plus, next month all the talks will be in the ensign anyway... then I realized, REALLY, why we need to take notes, and what we need to take them on. Tell, the kids, that when they are in meetings, and are taking notes for a talk, remeber certain feelings that they had in certain partes of those talks, but to WRITE down ways to better themselves, because of those basic principles that they already know. Usually, when people give talks, members tune out, because they already know the basic message that the speaker is trying to convey. But when, through feelings and thoughts, we find certain areas in which we can better ourselves, we find ourselves more attentive, we have a hunger for things spiritual. Its called, INSPIRATION or REVELATION. Yeah, that is soemthing that i learned. Every member knows that we can recieve revalation. The mission president recieves revelation for the missionaries, missionaries recieve revalation for the investigators, fathers for their families, BUT all people can recieve a degree of revelation for themselves. (Thats why we invite people to pray for themselves to know if the church is true, because we know they will recieve revelation.) But often we forget HOW to recieve revelation, or why we recieve it. That was a big machete for me.
I really enjoyed all the talks, and Id like to write more of what i learned, but i dont have time, or the patience to do it. (Im not a good typer, every word that i typed, ive actually typed twice) Other than that, ive just been getting elder huerta acquainted with the sector, because im going to leave next change im sure. I got your package with all the candy and pop tart things those are good, they got smashed but theure good. :) Elder Miller and i had a nice conversation last night, hes cool, from sacramento, and we talked about our families. Thanks for everything you do mom!! I appriciate it alot!! I love getting packages and letters, anything really, that i know was in the house, that I know touched you guys!!! Well mom, love you!! And ill be calling you on the 25th of Deciembre!! LOVE YOU!! Ciao!
